Durian



In the Philippines specifically in Davao, Durian fruit is their biggest pride. This king Tropical fruit is known for its large size and unique aroma. It usually blooms in April to June and is harvested in August and November. Some people regard Durian fruit as fragrant, you will eventually know when the fruit is around because of its scent. The odor of it is really overpowering and others find it quite offensive. Foreigners had this usual comments “It smells like hell and tastes like heaven” or “you can stand the taste of the durian fruit, but not the smell”. The thought is just the same.

This fruit also available in different kinds and products such as candy’s, jam and as ice cream flavor. Not known to everyone Durian fruit is highly nutritious.
